Nicholas Southern did an impressive PB at the ‘Time Trials’ at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge today setting a new 1500m freestyle club record time of 18.02.62 while Melanie Agius finished third in the 800m freestyle event in an excellent time of 9.24.34.
Meanwhile, tomorrow at the Dorcan Leisure Complex the 2008 Swindon Dolphin ‘Annual Easter Camp’ for the development squads gets under way from the 7th - 10th of April, with about 80 young swimmers participating in a range of aquatic and other indoor & outdoor activities. Many will then be heading to the Bournemouth Open Meet next weekend hoping to add to the 184 PBs and 50 RQTs achieved at the recent Wiltshire Bagcats.
Commonwealth gold medallist and former Olympian, Alex Scotcher will be the special guest tomorrow leading training sessions for the youngsters in the pool.
