23 Swindon Dolphin swimmers and 4 team staff led the club to the title of “Best Supported Club” at the City of Derby Open Meet, held on 6/7 January at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
Dolphin swimmers left the meet with more than just this award though. 4 National Qualifying Times were achieved: James Clark (200 IM), Cathal Westman (200 Brs), Peter Wasielewski (100 Brs) and Mark Tanner (50 Fr) as well as several other swimmers being less than 1% away from their National QT’s. 3 Club Records and 9 Age Group Records were broken and over 60 PB’s were attained. In addition, some swimmers have gained Regional qualifying times for the first time showing the progress being made on all fronts.
