Two Swindon Dolphin long distance swimmers took a break from training to compete at the ASA South West Regional 1500m Long Course Time Trials on Saturday. Though not quite matching their personal best times, 14 year old, Jose Prunty was pleased with a second place in the Girls’ race and Nicholas Southern (16 yrs) settled for seventh in the men’s event.
The pair will be among a large contingent of swimmers taking part in the 2008 Swim Wales New Year Dragon Open Meet (long course) over 3 days next weekend at the Wales National Pool in Swansea, while many others Dolphins will be participating at the Tigersharks and Corsham short course open meets.
