It was a triumphant night for the ladies in the Harris family at the ever popular 2008 Inter Squad Bowling competition, with Dani Harris scooping the Girls’ Under 18 prize, and mum Jo Harris coming out top amongst the Over 18’s. The Boys' winners were Nick Southern and Julian Forbes, whilst the Masters squad retained the championship shield with an impressive average score of nearly 113. Forbes ran out overall individual winner with a massive score of 172.
Coach Steve Cryer led the way for the triumphant Masters squad with a personal score of 140, and Cryer will also have been pleased to see an impressive showing from the Swim Channel team of Harry Brooker, Charlotte Brooker, Katy Coleman, Craig Harris, Cerys Preston and Kieran Jeffries. The young swimmers finished comfortably ahead of the High Performance, Pre-Development and Junior Olympic squads, nearly overhauled the Officials, and in several cases topped their parents’ scores.
