Event: Wroughton Annual 50m Sprint Competition

 

 

Nineteen Dolphin swimmers participated in the Wroughton Annual 50m Sprint Competition on Sunday, many of them competing for the very first time in an open event.  Ten medals were won on the day and several personal best times were achieved. 

 

There were podium finishes for Jonathan Makings, Josh Preston and Emma & Adam Coleman with Swim Channel trio, Thomas Gase, Gemma Lucas and Alison Merrit also getting amongst the medal winners.

 

Swimming Development Officer, Steve Cryer, said afterwards that ‘he was very pleased with the outstanding performances on display and it was great to see the youngsters improving their skills while having fun in the process’.
